The Rotary Club of Stony Plain
was chartered on May 3, 1986. It meets every Wednesday @ 7 am at the Stony Convention Inn. Service projects include Rotary Run for Life, Rotary Park, Rotary Recycling Centre, Stony Plain Library, Youth Exchange and Youth Enrichment Programs. It also supports many international projects aimed at alleviating poverty and health problems, especially in 3rd world countries.

Coordinated Suicide Prevention Program
Our mandate is to raise awareness of the issues surrounding suicide in all ages and in all groups through creative, ongoing programming in the Parkland County Region. Alberta has one of the highest suicide rates in Canada. In 1998 a group of concerned individuals formed the CSP Program to address the issues of suicide prevention and awareness in the area. CSPP has promoted awareness through ongoing presentations to schools and agencies, recognizing and promoting Applied Suicide Intervention System Training (ASIST), and launching the Yellow Ribbon Program in our local schools.
